Moving from the Garden State to the Sandhills was a shock to my green thumb. Our old tobacco fields were stripped, barren, dry. Clearly needed help with planning a re-wilding to bring back wildlife and beauty. Asked many for ideas on whom might understand and support this vision.That is where Melissa comes in. Her wide range of knowledge: fine gardening, planning, ecologically friendly, use of natives and eye for balance and beauty were hugely helpful. Then we had the excellent input from Rachel in supplying, planting and ideas from the enthusiasm and expert understanding of the area and what would thrive in sandy soil with searing summers.Between the two, Melissa and Rachel, we have rejoiced in the changes. Once sad fields have begun to regrow with the insects, pollinators, birds, and critters that had long ago abandoned the area, making headways back to where they once thrived. Melissa and Rachel have enhanced our lives, our land, the planet and the beauty of nature. We look forward to even more impressive results as the years settle us in. Thanks and brava!
